Herman Carr, 74, was fishing with family members this afternoon off Macedonia Church Road near the Irwin - Tift County line when he went missing.
His family called police after he wandered off and they say Carr recently had brain surgery and suffers from other health ailments like Dementia.
Deputies and volunteer firefighters are searching the area near Waterloo which is east of Highway 125 south.
A private helicopter and a state Patrol chopper are in the air. K-9 units have been dispatched as well.
Family and police ask that if you have seen Carr to notify police immediately.
