FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) -

People in Ben Hill County can now keep an eye out on registered sex offenders in their area.

There's a new website called Offender Watch, and it is updated throughout the day as offender addresses and other offender information is updated at the Sheriff's Office.

You can enter any address in the county and information will pop up on the offenders near your address.

Sheriff Bobby McLemore says the new website is more efficient than other sites available since this site is updated each time a new offender is added or deleted, if that offender moves from the county.

"Offender Watch is a sex offender management tool. It is also a community enhancement program so that people in the community can log on to offender watch to see where all the sex offenders are in the county," said Sheriff McLemore.

The Sheriff also has a blog he updates regularly, to help keep the public updated on what's going on in the community.
