An Atlanta area man is now charged with murdering his grandfather whose remains were unearthed in a Valdosta backyard.

Valdosta Police took out a murder warrant late Tuesday against 30-year old John Chambers.

He's accused of killing 68-year old John Jordan.

Police say they now know how he was killed but won't tell us.

Several months ago, Chambers told police in Clayton County there may be a body buried in Valdosta.

That led police to 405 church street where Jordan lived. On April 15th, Valdosta Police uncovered remains that have now been identified as Jordan.

Chambers was initially charged with concealing a death. He remains in jail in Clayton County on unrelated charges.
