THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - If you're obese but don't want to endure a risky surgery, Archbold Medical Center may have a solution.
Thursday, Dr. John Mansberger will hold a lecture on Archbold's new Bariatric Weight loss program. The comprehensive weight loss service offers help from a variety of medical professionals.
The focus is the Lap-Band surgery, but doctors say that may not be necessary. "A number or resources including the surgeons, myself, dieticians, psychologists, nurses, physical therapists. So we have a pretty extensive program which we're introducing to the community," said Dr. John Mansberger.
That lecture begins at six Thursday evening at Archbold. You need to pre-register if you want to attend. Call 229-227-5140 or RSVP by email to rsvp@archbold.org.
