You can enjoy a night out with your pet later this week.

The Albany Humane Society will hold its 2nd Yappy Hour at Riverfront Seafood Shack on North Jefferson Thursday to raise money for the Healthy Hounds Fund.

It costs $10 per person, but dogs are free.

You can enjoy a glass of wine and an appetizer, while doggy treats and ice cream will be served to your pooch.

All proceeds will help treat injuries and heart worms for animals at the shelter that otherwise would not get adopted.

"It is near and dear to my heart because we would love to become a 'no kill' shelter, which is very hard to do, especially when you have animals that are in bad shape, that type of thing. And this money goes to help give them a second chance," says Jay Robertson, Albany Humane Society Board President.

Yappy Hour will be held from 5:30PM to 7:00PM on Thursday July 14th.

Dogs must have current rabies vaccination tag and be kept on a leash at all times.
