Albany trauma specialist say most of the trauma cases they see result from car crashes, and too many of those crashes are caused by distracted drivers. Now they're spreading a message in honor of Trauma Awareness Month.More >>
A woman was robbed at gunpoint this afternoon outside her east Albany home.
The victim did not want to disclose her name but she told officers a man pointed a gun at her as she stepped out of her duplex on Lincoln Avenue. We spoke to a neighbor about the hold up.
"She was getting ready to come out the door because she was taking the trash out guy just bust in on her said lets just make this quick and simple and pulled his pistol out on her,"says neighborhood friend Charn Johnson.
The gunman had his face covered with a black bandana. He snatched a chain off of her neck and had her empty her pockets. There is no word on a suspect.
