The fifteenth annual Battle of the South basketball tournament tipped off at Darton College this weekend. The tournament is known for attracting talented basketball players and this year New Orleans Hornets' point guard Jarrett Jack is taking part in the action.
Jack put on a show for hundreds of fans with his pro-caliber moves. Jack says the tournament is a good way to stay sharp during the off season and event organizer Fred Pickett believes this is a great event for the entire community.
Jack said "WWith the season coming up you want to be in the best shape possible. You don't get much time to play in any organized games. This is a good measuring stick that puts you in game time situations."
Pickett said "IIt's absolutely free to the public, you can't get any better than that and it is a family friendly event."
