VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Window air conditioning units are being stolen from vacant houses in Valdosta

Burglars have stolen three ac units in the last three days.

The thefts happened at houses on East Rogers Street, Lee Street and south Saint Augustine Road.

Police say they're either selling him them to appliance stores or for scrap to make some cash.

Police don't have any suspects but they ask to call them if you anything out of the ordinary.

"We ask that people in the neighborhood be aware that if they do have a vacant home in an area and they see a truck or van pull up or to the back of the house to go ahead, it may be someone working on the home, but be sure go ahead and have an officer check it out," said Police Lt. Aaron Kirk.

A central air conditioning unit was also stolen from Woodstone Apartments on East Park Avenue.
