Sonic Robbed with Kitchen Knife

A man with a Kitchen knife robbed the Sonic fast food restaurant at 908 South Slappey in Albany at 6:15pm Thursday evening.

Police say no one was hurt and the clerk handed over money from the cash register and safe.

The robber is described as a black male, approximately six feet tall, 240 pounds, in his late 20's to Early 30'sm with a low hair cut.

He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts, white and red trim Air Jordan shoes with black stripes, and a black do-rag over his face.

 An employee said the robber ran out of the rear of Sonic toward Cherry Avenue. 

 A customer said he say the suspect get into a small black SUV, possible a Hyundai. 

The first two letters of the tag are (BP).

 Anyone with information regarding this incident or the suspect should call Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS, or the Albany Police Department at (229) 431-2100.
