Edwards sees Panthers in future plans

One quality of almost all teams that win back to back championships is the ability to retain key players and the Albany Panthers are no different.  Panthers GM Will Carter has expressed the want to bring back the team's core guys including linebacker Larry Edwards. Edwards was the team's play caller on a defense and was 4th in tackles despite missing two games during the season.

He did however collect 3 sacks and led team in force fumbles. Edwards says he loves the city and his plans of returning to the Panthers next season.

Edwards said "Everything this year, its just been a great year and I remember everything.  It's just been a wonderful year and you can't be more thankful for having it. Hopefully, I'll be back in the city of Albany to defend this championship. Hopefully, bring the city some more, hopefully we'll bring us a little dynasty or something like that here.  I want to come back, I want to be apart of this community, this city, you know I love it here."
