Accused child molesters indicted by grand jury

ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Two Albany men are accused of heinous sex crimes against children. One of them also faces child pornography charges.

A Dougherty County grand jury handed down indictments against Glen Warren Crosby and William Pash. Both are charged with separate child sex crimes.

"Glen Warren Crosby was indicted on 2 counts of child molestation of a little girl and a total of 33 counts of child pornography related crimes," said Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards.

Crosby has been in the Dougherty County Jail on charges he molested a 3-year-old girl. But the pictures investigators say they found in his possession are disturbing.

"The allegations are the depictions showed children in various depiction of acts of sex with other children and adults," Edwards said.

Each of the 33 counts carries a heavy sentence. Edwards said, "Actually I need a calculator to count up all the numbers of years that Mr. Crosby from these charges. Hundreds of years."

In a separate child sex exploitation case, grand jurors indicted William Pash on counts of aggravated child molestation and aggravated battery,

"The victims in these cases are ages 3 and 6 and the allegations are that this defendant did these crimes against his neighbors children," Edwards said.

Edwards says this case appears to be a crime of opportunity.

"The defendant had been know by the neighbor. There had been no other problems. And quite literally, it appeared to be an opportunity. When the opportunity presented itself to be allegedly with the children, that's when the crime allegedly took place."

And Edwards hopes a victory in the cases for the prosecution will send a stern message to anyone who wants to harm a child.

"It's the most fundamental act that this office is going to prosecute as vigorously as possible..

Neither Crosby nor Pash was a registered sex offender.

Both men are awaiting trial at the Dougherty County Jail.
