GA. Supreme Court upholds Albany murder verdict

Posted: Updated:

An Albany teenager's murder conviction is upheld by the Georgia Supreme Court.

18 year old Lyndon Johnson was convicted of robbing and killing a Carrollton man in an East Albany motel in November 2007.

27-year old Brandon Todd was in Albany for a job interview with Georgia Power when he was robbed and killed.

He did manage to fire off a shot that killed one of the robbers.

Johnson was later caught and convicted and the high court upholds his conviction.

Dougherty District Attorney Greg Edwards said "When you are a party to a crime, you are just as guilty as the other parties that are involved in the direct commission of the crime."

Johnson was sentenced to life plus 5 years for the murder conviction.
