Summer is a great time for kids to have some fun, but not without the proper medical care. Phoebe is making nurses available at several camps this summer.

That includes a camp through the Dougherty County Sheriff's Office.

C.H.A.M.P.S, which stands for Choosing Healthy Activities and Methods Promoting Safety, has six nurses on board.

They tend to roughly 15 kids a day. Phoebe has provided 14 nurses and four certified nursing assistants to four different camps this summer.

With 168 kids enrolled in the Champs camp this summer, the director says nurses are vital.

Some conditions the nurses help monitor include: diabetes, asthma, and kidney disease.
