If you want to celebrate the fourth of July a little early, you can enjoy an old time celebration Saturday at the Agrirama in Tifton.

The Georgia museum of Agriculture will host its 35th annual independence day celebration.

Festivities start at 9AM in the morning and include food vendors and performers.

Evening activities begin at 5:30PM featuring a performance by Kevin Sport and a special cake and flag ceremony.

You can also enjoy ice cold watermelon, a fishing competition, and a look into the past.

"There's a lot for them to do and not only is it fun and games, but they are also learning something as they..while they're here. They see part of the past they are exposed to things that they might not have seen anywhere else," says Garrett Boone, Marketing Sales and Special Events Coordinator.

Closing out the evening, a fireworks spectacular over the lake.

Tickets are $30 for a family of four to take part in activities throughout the day.

Other tickets are available just for the fireworks show.
