School board wants redistricting input

Posted: Updated:

The Dougherty County School Board wants your thoughts on an important matter.

They're working with the county commission to come up with new voting lines based on new census numbers.

There are two public hearings Thursday.

"Well we want the community to be involved in all of our processes we give them those avenues so they can understand the processes and once they understand the process whether we like it or not its all part of the knowledge, said School Board Member Velvet Riggins.

The first hearing is at noon at the East Albany Police Precinct. The second will be at 6:00PM at Monroe High School.
