Inmates relocate after pipe bursts

Brooks County jailers had to relocate some inmates after a pipe burst outside the jail.

Workers repaired the pipe to the main water line after it burst Monday.

Then a storm rolled through and dirt got backed up into the plumbing system.

78-inmates were moved to the Lowndes County Jail because the sinks and toilets weren't operating.

Wednesday the system was being flushed out. The inmates are expected to return soon.
