ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Deerfield-Windsor football fans have had plenty to cheer about with two state titles in three years.
Those fans will be more comfortable watching their Knights defend their GISA state title in Webb Stadium this fall.
New stadium bleachers are just one of many improvements taking place at Deerfield-Windsor School this summer.
Athletic director Gordy Gruhl says the work also includes drainage improvements, new tennis courts and track and a remodeling of the original upper school building.
Gruhl says drainage problems led to water damaging the school's track but the repairs will allow Deerfield-Windsor to host track meets next spring.
Gordy Gruhl said. "Certainly ascetically it is going to help the looks of the place around here. It is also going to be some kids that are going to get to do some things and it is going to work out for us next year."
The stadium work is expected to be finished by the first Deerfield-Windsor home football game on September 9th.
The Knights regular season opener at Sherwood Christian has been moved up a week to August 19th due to the release of the Sherwood movie "Courageous" on August 26th.
