The 4th annual Birdies for Charity Tournament was held at Doublegate Country Club. The tournament is sponsored by the 2011 Debutante Club and the Charity League of Albany.

They hoped to raise around $20,000 to benefit "A Place for Hope" a homeless outreach and resource center in Albany.

"As a group of girls we want to be part of the community and be good productive members of society," said Hannah Blackwell of the 2011 Debutante Club.

They played some pretty good golf, too. At least two of the teams scored Eagles today.

Last year, this tournament raised $17,000.
