Traffic was backed up on the Liberty Expressway following a two car crash Friday afternoon.

Police say D'Aniel Jessie was driving a 1999 Infinity, and was parked in the median. When she tried to enter traffic, she was hit.

Jessie, age 18 from Dawson, was treated at Phoebe. APD reports that her passenger, D'onna NaShae Green has been transported to an out of town hospital for further observation.

Bobby Warren, age 44, who was driving a Ford Mustang was treated and released from Phoebe

Jessie's vehicle, struck the guardrail, and crossed over into the east bound lane, and Warren's car struck the driver's side of her vehicle.

Eastbound lanes of the bypass were shut down for about 30 minutes. The crash happened around 4:30 at the Flint River Bridge.

Police diverted traffic at Jefferson Street.
