New pet store helps homeless pets

A new pet supplies store has opened in town and it's giving back to the people and pets of Albany.

The new store which opened Tuesday near the new Walmart says it's housing cats from the Albany Humane society and is even letting non-profit groups bring dogs out for adoption on the weekends.

The district manager says it's a great chance to provide awareness for programs who want to find homes for these pets.

Pet Sense will continue to house cats in its save-a-pet center. It hopes to hold adoptions out here at least once month.
