Panthers donate to Columbus charity after altercation

The Albany Panthers has reached a compromise in regards to an altercation between head coach Lucious Davis and a fan in a game with Columbus earlier this month.  Davis reportedly got into an altercation late in the game with a fan that turned out to be Jerome Blanton the father-in-law of Columbus head coach Jason Gibson. Reports say Blanton came down from his seat, leaned over the wall and argued with Davis.

Blanton was eventually ejected from the game. Davis was not ejected nor fined by the SIFL for his role but the Panthers has now made a donation to a Columbus Charity instead.  Panthers GM Will Carter denied comment about the incident but says the team is focused on its semi-final game with the Lions Saturday in Columbus.
