Alexis Walker's grandmother 46-year-old Virginia Sims is charged with her murder.
Thursday, coroner Verlyn Brock explained the six year old's cause of death is asphyxia, due to strangulation in conjunction with drowning.
Because there was both air and water in her lungs, investigators believe Walker was strangled while she was in the farm pond.
