While you were sleeping, a thief in South Albany was wide awake. APD says a black man dressed in black, broke into June Bug's grocery early Thursday morning.

Police responded to 1905 South Madison around 3:00AM, after patrolling the area and hearing the alarm.

After arriving, they saw a broken front window. The owners tell us his store has been in that location for years, and he's seen no problems.

Until this morning, when a crook got away with an undisclosed amount of money. But he couldn't escape the surveillance cameras.

The tape shows the burglar moving around like a cat. He jumps the counter, goes for the register, then makes his way to the back of the store to get the money.

The crook takes less than two minutes to get in and get out. Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 436-Tips.
