The Georgia Department of Education released spreadsheets showing the performance of Georgia students on Criterion Referenced Competency Tests for this year today.

The DOE has statistics from students in grades three through eight, who were tested in Reading, English language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Dougherty County eighth grade results are a mixed bag for this year.

Dougherty Students appear strong in reading and English, but fall noticeably in math and social studies, and have a dramatic deficiency in science.

Here are Dougherty County's 8th Grade scores, taken from the DOE's website:

 Course Meet/Exceed rate  Fail rate
Reading  90%  9%
English  87%  13%
Math  67%  32%
