ALBANY, GA (WALB) – An Albany mayoral candidate is taking her grass roots campaign to the Internet.
Downtown business owner BJ Fletcher held her first of four online chats Tuesday night on her campaign website.
Potential voters were invited to log on and ask questions and offer ideas about what the city needs and what residents want in their next leader.
Fletcher says these cyber town hall meetings will play a major role in her campaign.
"You will be able to ask me anything. We've got to find out the concerns of the people. We absolutely have to know what these people want in a mayor and what is their concerns for the city. We're going to be doing 4 (chats) and our 5th week we're doing a fundraiser at Cafe 230 for our Facebook people for the 4 weeks we're doing this.
Fletchers website BJ4Mayor.com is the site where the chats will take place every Tuesday night at 7 o'clock for the next 3 weeks
