Congressman Sanford Bishop was in Albany getting feedback from community leaders on the federal deficit and how it can be offset. Bishop, along with several others, attended the workshop at Albany Tech.
A director with the Concord Coalition, a non-partisan group that educates people on how to balance our budget, shared some sobering facts about where our money is being spent. Almost 40 percent is borrowed funds, and only four percent goes towards education nationally.
