THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - After a unanimous vote by the Thomas County School Board, Dr. Dusty Kornegay was offered the job of school Superintendent. Kornegay is currently the Assistant Superintendent for the Thomasville School system.
He has more than 25 years experience in public education as a high school teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Kornegay says he plans to start by evaluating school system needs. "I plan to spend the first several weeks listening and renewing old friendships and making new ones and listening and getting a good understanding of what the needs of the district are."
Kornegay says he will begin his new job in about month.
