Agents arrest drug dealer at car wash

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Thomasville drug agents arrested a man at a car wash where they say he planned to sell drugs. 20 year old Douglas Edwards was arrested when he showed up to Splish Splash car wash Thursday afternoon.

Officers found a small amount of marijuana in his SUV. They searched his home and another three grams under a television. Agents say sometimes the arrests in small cases lead them to larger dealers. "Yea we always, I'm not saying this case will, but it's kind of like fish. It takes a small fish to catch a big fish. So yea one arrest can definitely lead to another," said Thomas County Narcotics Commander Kevin Lee.

The car wash is around the corner from JK Harper Elementary school. Edwards is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school.
