Albany auto dealerships hit by thieves

Two East Albany auto dealerships were hit by thieves over the weekend.

One of the crooks may have left his car at the scene.

This Chevrolet Blazer was found stuck in the sand in the woods behind the Automaxx in the 300 block of East Oglethorpe.

Sometime over the weekend, someone broke into Automaxx and stole torque converters and other scrap metal worth about $1200.

Many of the stolen items were found buried near the stuck S-U-V.

Just a block east, Kia Autosport has two cars sitting on blocks after thieves stole the tires and rims.
