Panthers rally for win over Hammers

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  After 30 minutes of play, it looked like the Albany Panthers were going to make a 20 hour bus ride to Pennsylvania.

The Panthers were trailing 34-25 to the Alabama Hammers at half.

The Albany team that had won 9 games showed up in the second half and the Panthers win 68-51.

Demetrie McCray and Levance Richmond both intercepted three passes each for the Panthers.

Quarterback Cecil Lester overcame a slow start to get the offense moving.

The Panthers will host Erie in the first round of the SIFL playoffs on June 18th.

General manager Will Carter says all tickets for the playoff game are $15 and are on sale now.
