
ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany State football staff is preparing for the start of fall camp in less than two months.
The Golden Rams coaches taking time this week to help some younger players who one day down the road may wear the Blue and Gold.
The annual Mike White kids football camp got started Thursday at Albany State.
The camp attracts kids of all ages who get one on one instruction from the various position coaches on the Rams staff.
It is also homecoming for head coach Mike White.
Several of these campers are the sons or related to many former Albany State greats.
Coach White says this camp is about more than just football.
Mike White said. "We get a chance to give back. We just enjoy helping these kids to learn teamwork. Just have some fun in the sun with the great game of football."
The Albany State football camp runs through Saturday.
