ALBANY, GA (WALB) – An Albany man arrested nearly two months ago in what investigators called one of the largest ecstasy busts in Dougherty County history is out of jail tonight and expects the charges against him to be dropped.

We were there as 23-year-old Daniel Folsom walked out of the Dougherty County Jail.

His attorney, Phil Cannon, told us crime lab results showed the drug Folsom was arrested for receiving was not ecstasy but mephedrone which is not illegal in Georgia.

The District Attorney has not dropped the charges yet, but Folsom hopes to have his name cleared soon.

"The lab results are already back from the GBI saying that it's not MDMA. It's just a big a mix up for what they wanted to do," Folsom said.

Folsom was released on a recognizance bond.

The DA's office would not discuss the findings of the crime lab drug results.
