VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Valdosta State has Made a change to their football schedule.
The Blazers home opener against Newberry has been moved to Thursday September 8th.
The game will be part of the Gulf South Conference's Thursday night television schedule and will start at 7:00 p.m. at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium.
Valdosta State will open the 2010 season September 3rd at Wingate.
The Blazers will play at Albany State on September 17th.
The contract signed by both Valdosta State and Albany State calls for just one game in 2011 but the two schools are discussing about renewing the rivalry on a permanent basis.
Both sides are looking at playing each other in 2012 and 2013.
