One of Westover High's most versatile track and field athletes in Justin Taylor, will be heading to Savannah State next season.
Taylor signed his letter of intent on Monday. He was a four-year letterman in track and was a state champion in the triple jump. His coaches say Taylor was one of the most unique athletes in the school's history with his ability to do almost all track and field events. Taylor said he was thankful for all the motivation from his coaches.
"They kept me real motivated. They told me I can do it. They told me from day 1, Justin you can be a 47 jumper all I got to do is do what they say and I can do it and I did what they said and I did it."
Taylor was also the Patriots' quarterback in football and also plans on trying out for the Savannah State football team in the fall as a wide receiver.
