SYLVESTER, GA -

Municipal Court Judge Willie Weaver is off the job in Albany as he faces domestic violence charges, but he will remain on the bench as Sylvester's city judge.

Monday night, Sylvester City Council members discussed Weaver's situation in executive session. Mayor Bill said he has deep concerns over leaving Weaver on the bench, but the majority of council members decided to take no action.

Weaver is scheduled to hear cases there next week.
