TALLAHASSE, FL (WALB) -The comeback from Tommy John surgery hasn't gone as planned for Florida State pitcher Jack Posey.
The former Lee County Trojan is available to do what he can to help the Seminoles get back to Omaha.
Jack Posey has not seen the playing time he would like this season for the Seminoles.
His elbow that had Tommy John surgery a year and a half ago has been giving him problems this spring.
The junior pitcher/infielder says doctors belief scar tissue is causing the discomfort.
If he decides to return for his senior season, Jack says he will have surgery to get rid of that tissue.
Jack Posey hasn't decided if he will play next year but his elbow is fine and he will be available in the bullpen and off the bench this weekend at the NCAA Regionals.
Jack Posey said. "It has been a tough year. I am still dealing with a little bit of elbow issues. I would like to throw more but sometimes your body won't let you. i am feeling good now and I am looking forward to the NCAA tournament."
FSU plays Bethune-Cookman at 6:00 p.m. Friday at Dick Howser Stadium.
