An auto dealership in Tifton has gotten a surge in business after offering customers a pistol with their pick-up truck.

As part of the big Memorial Day Sale any purchase of a vehicle at Jeff Fender Buick GMC in Tifton, means you get a pistol from the gun store next door as part of the deal.

The General Manager says they've sold about 20 new vehicles as well as several used cars and traded in vehicles as well.

The gun shop, located behind the dealership, has gotten a tremendous uptake in business as well.

People of all ages came in to take part in the deal even a 67 year old grandmother.

"The granny that come in looking for a gun, that was probably the most surprising of course I don't know why that's surprising. I reckon it was the way she came in and was more excited about the gun than the car," said Dale Fender, General Manager at Jeff Fender Buick GMC.

All those who bought a gun had to go through required checks before they got the pistol. Everyone passed.
