
CORDELE, GA (WALB) - Crisp Academy baseball coach Brett Freeman and his players admitted they didn't sleep much Thursday night.
The Wildcats went to bed with a 9-1 lead over Westwood in game 2 of their state championship series that was suspended in the 5th inning due to rain.
The game resumed Friday morning.
Crisp Academy finished the sweep with a 14-4 victory over Westwood.
Crisp Academy wins their first GISA state baseball title after finishing second last year.
Westwood celebrates a great comeback.
Westwood finishes state runner-up one year after winning just one game.
