ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The last time Deerfield-Windsor won a GISA state baseball title in 2003, it completed what is known as the triple crown.
The high school team triple crown is winning state titles in football, basketball and baseball the same year.
Deerfield-Windsor senior Banks Kinslow needs a state baseball title to complete a personal triple crown.
Kinslow quarterbacked the Knights to a state football championship in November.
Last year, he was a member of the Knights state championship basketball team.
In fact the Westfield series will be the seventh state championship game or series Kinslow will have played at Deerfield-Windsor.
The senior shortstop and pitcher wants to win the state title for the team but knows it would be a great way to cap what has been an incredible athletic career at Deerfield-Windsor.
Banks Kinslow said. "It would mean a lot. To just go out on top. Being the last sport, the last game of my high school career. It would mean a lot to be able to finish it on top."
Deerfield-Windsor plays at Westfield in the AAA state championship series.
Game one is 5:30 p.m. Friday and game two is 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
