CORDELE, GA (WALB) - After losing in game three of last year's GISA Class A state championship series, Crisp Academy has been waiting one entire year for another chance to win a state baseball title.
The Crisp Academy Wildcats are going to have to wait one more day.
Game two of their championship series with Westwood was suspended in the top of the 5th inning with Crisp Academy leading 9-1.
Crisp Academy won game one with two runs in the bottom of the 7th 2-1.
Game two will resume at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Cordele.
GISA Vice President for Interscholastics Tommy Whittle says there is no mercy rule and game two will play all seven inning.
If Westwood rallies, game three would follow game two.
