BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) – There was a major search in the Flint River Wednesday night after witnesses say a man jumped from a bridge in Bainbridge.
911 calls came in around seven o'clock that a man jumped from River Bridge on the Highway 84 bypass.
It's about an 80 foot drop to the River.
Several agencies used boats, jet skis, and divers and searched the water until dark, but the search turned up nothing.
The sheriff says no missing person report has been filed.
Decatur County currently has four boats in the water and a sonar machine from Clay County is being used in the search.
Stephen Abel will have more on this story later on WALB
