
ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Panthers quarterback Cecil Lester named the co-offensive player of the week in the Southern Indoor Football League.
Lester and Germico McSwain of the Alabama Hammers share the offensive player of the week award.
Cecil Lester threw ten touchdown passes in the Panthers 86-70 win over the Hammers Saturday.
McSwain in that game set a league record with seven touchdown receptions.
The Panthers win improves them to 8-1 and keeps them in a first place tie with Columbus.
Panthers are back on the road Saturday night to play the Richmond Raiders.
Raiders are one game under .500 but they are in first place in the Mid-Atlantic division.
