Parkview rallies for split

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -  Colquitt County was six outs away from the AAAAA state championship series.

The Packers led 4-1 in game two going into the bottom of the fifth inning against Parkview.

The Panthers avoid elimination by scoring seven runs in the fifth to win game two 8-4.

It sets up a third and final game to decide who plays for the state championship series.

It is the third straight series that has gone three games for the Packers.

Colquitt County pitcher Cole Pitts lead the Packers to a 3-0 win over Parkview in game one.

Pitts pitched a complete game shutout.

He also accounted for the first run with a solo homerun in the fourth.

A fielding error by Parkview led to Austin Dykes scoring the second run of the game in the fourth.

A run scoring single by Hayden Kudela in the sixth gave the Packers a needed insurance run.

 Game 3 is 1:00 p.m.  Tuesday in Moultrie.
