As the retirement of Mike Chason approaches, ABAC President David Bridges has tapped Ashley Williamson to take the post on an Interim basis.
In a news release, Bridges said: "Ashley has been with us as the public relations assistant for four years now, and she has handled her duties and responsibilities very well," Bridges said. "She will take care of all public relations issues beginning June 1."
Williamson has a communication degree with an emphasis in public relations from Valdosta State. She has been on the ABAC staff since 2007.
Chason, also known for his play-by-play sports announcing, has headed Public Relations for ABAC since 1979.
