A woman who once served as the interim President and CEO of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce has died. Wendy Martin died Thursday night.

Martin was Vice President of Public Policy and Communication until she took a leave of absence two weeks ago.

Purple bows marked both doors to the chamber Friday.

Employees remembered Martin for her positive attitude. They say she always looked for the best in things, even during her battle with cancer.

"Her spirit is probably one of the largest spirits I've ever seen. Her whole hearted approach to community and to loving and caring everybody that she came into contact with will be fondly remembered by all of us."  said chamber President Catherine Glover.

Funeral arrangement have not been finalized. The Chamber will include a special section in the next edition of their business magazine remembering Martin and her accomplishments.
