Getting your gently-used items to Goodwill in Lee County just got easier.

Goodwill Southern Rivers opened a new donation center in the Lee Crossings Shopping Center next to Publix. The new donation center will accept just about everything the Albany store takes, except large furniture.

"The employees who are working here are processing the donations they're pricing them, and so once the truck picks them up, we take it straight to the floor so it's just a matter of second before its in the shoppers hands," said Cecilia Rentz, Goodwill Retail Store Manager.

The center's official grand opening will run from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Friday. They'll give away an Ipad 2.
