ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  The Darton golf team isn't the only Cavalier squad playing for a national junior college championship this week.

The Darton softball team is on their way to Utah for the national junior college world series.

Darton is making their second trip in three seasons to the world series.

The Lady Cavs take an impressive 47-9 record to nationals but are seeded 13th in the 16 team tournament.

No longer just satisfied with making the world series, the Darton softball team believes they destined for greater things this week.

Head coach David Dews said. "I've got such good kids, good Christian kids. They work hard and they play so hard. It'll be nice to see them rewarded for that."

Pitcher Cara Law said. "We're ready, you can just tell in the batting practice and everything. Everything is really sharp and we're going out there and we're going to try to win this thing."

Darton plays at 12:00 EDT Thursday against #4 Miami-Dade College.
