ALBANY, GA (WALB) – The Albany Transit System is making it easier for folks to shop at the new Walmart.

The city's bus service will start a new route Wednesday called the Silver Line Walmart Express.

It will take passengers to and from Walmart Monday through Saturday with no stops.

"Anyone can board a bus anywhere in the city and take that bus to the transit station and board the Walmart express and take that transfer right to the store," said Transit director Dwain Cosby.

Cosby says he's excited about the new service which will aid not only customers, but Walmart employees in getting to the store.

The Silver Line will operate from 5:30 AM to 7 PM every 30 minutes from the transfer station downtown.
