The NAACP wants the school board to reconsider its vote to not renew the contract of the system's Curriculum director.

The group sent the board a letter Friday saying their decision to get rid of Assistant Superintendent Dianne Daniels was unfounded.

The board voted three to two Wednesday not to renew her contact and to fire Human Resource Director Tracy Williams. Williams was forced to leave work Friday. Daniels contract runs through June 30th.

We uncovered a letter of reprimand in Williams' personnel file from last August. It criticized her failure to communicate effectively and professionally with school system employees.

The letter says numerous complaints had been filed about her confrontational. Two board members were absent from Wednesday's meeting and the full board could reconsider the votes.
