Tift County man, woman shot

Investigators are on the scene of a shooting in Tift County.

A man and a woman were shot at this house at  20 Jack Bankston Road, just outside Ty Ty, around 7:30 Friday morning.

Tift County investigators aren't saying who shot whom, but they believe the shooting is part of a domestic dispute.

Both of them are at Tift Regional Hospital with gunshot wounds.

    The Valdosta Fire Department held a family and friends day Saturday welcoming 10 new recruits to the team.  The event allowed the community to come out and welcome the new firefighters and their families to the Valdosta Fire Department family.
